2charlies
Poor speckle has one eye all closed and it's puffed up all around it. The other eye lid is stuck together in the morning. Today her very swollen eye is weeping, and also her nostril. She obviously feels awful and not hungry, so she's getting weak. I have tried bathing her eyes with warm water and (fresh for each eye) cotton wool. This opens the one that is stuck, not swollen, and obviously causes massive discomfort on the bad eye, and does not seem to do any good to it. Any suggestions. Someone mentioned warm salty water, but I didn't think that would be so good near the eye. Charlotte (Speckle, Mabel, and Blue) x
NannyOgg
Could be mycoplasma ... I'd pop her along to the vet, she may need abx

gongladosh
The sooner the better really, you'll want to catch it before she starts with rattly breathing! Good luck!
2charlies
If it's mycoplasma, will my other girls have it. I read that damp bedding can cause it, and was worried that is what happened with all this rain. Speckle is happy in the kitchen for now, but I gather she will always carry it and can spread it, if that is what it is. Thanks for your advice Charlotte
