cheekymonkey68
OMG, I just came face to face with Mr. Fox in my garden at 10.35am!! My girls were out in their FR area surrounded by electric fence out back and I was doing a spot of washing up and saw Mr. Fox as bold as brass jump through the 5bar gate and come trotting down to my raised beds. I ran outside and the young little rascal stood his ground at first, not for long as I ran at him yelling, he shot into next doors orchard. I managed to get my girls in and secured. But I could hear that he has gone down to some chooks below my garden, they were going nutty...I felt so helpless as I dont know who they belong to, I think they must have been secure tho as they are still clucking! So I now know for sure Im on the foxy radar and need to be constantly vigilant when my girls are outside..not a suprise for where I live, but a bit of a stark reality check. If there is anyone on here who has chooks in the Beacon Hill area and are interested in a "fox watch" please get in touch, my neighbours always call or txt me if they have any foxy sightings (protecting their egg supply!! )
