Hi Everyone

 

My dream home is unfortunately next to a gigantic site which is to be sold off for development. We knew this before we bought the house and probably wouldn't be able to have afforded it otherwise. 

 

There are consultations going on with the public and the council at the moment but the site wont be developed by the council itself.

 

The site is next to an area of outstanding natural beauty, forms part of a site of special area of conservation and is part of a wold heritage site. There are lots of regulations which seem to refer to protecting wildlife, the character of the landscape etc. Ive read planning documents, etc my question is, how much do these regulations really stand up to developers and does anyone have any experience of this?
