mish
We have 3, 4 week old chicks and they seem to be doing well but I have a few questions. When can they start having other food, ie kitchen s"Ooops, word censored!"s, corn, mealworms etc When should the light be turned off - daytime and nighttime? When should they be introduced to outside and for how long? Should it be for a bit at a time and increased? Surely they can't go from being inside to going outside full time? All advice great fully received!

Purplemaniacs
I am no expert but for what it is worth here are my thoughts. I have only done one hatch and they are almost 7 weeks now. When they hatched they were in the kitchen as it is lovely and warm, the light went off when we went to bed never thought of leaving it on. I only feed them chick crumb as I think they need the goodness to grow, I am now starting to introduce them to growers. About 4 to 5 weeks when well feathered I started truning the elctric hen off in the day but put it on at night for a couple of weeks. They are now in the cold utility and I plan to move them outdoors at the weekend. I hope this helps but as I say I am new to all this too.
