We switched our energy supplier 2 weeks ago and surprise surprise our previous suppliers have contacted us to say that they have a new tariff available to us. I asked how come we didn't know about it before and they said that it had only just come out and that it is standard for them to call customers to inform them of new deals I asked how come we had been a customer of their's for some years and that no one had ever called us to tell us about new deals He said it was a coincidence that this deal came out the same week as we decided to leave 7% off is on the table I will have to get my calculator out and see which of the new deals to go with

The whole switching thing is a nighmare, not to mention brand new customer only offers. I am responsible for doing this for the office, I hate it.

I switched once, and won't bother again. Even though I have to say it was problem free, in my mind the prices fluctuate so much we probably all end up paying the same in the end.

I have switched 3 or 4 times over the years but won't be doing it again in a hurry. I'm not convinced I actually saved any money in the end as each supplier seems to have a completely different method of charging which makes accurate comparisons impossible .

 

I do remember cancelling one new contract when I found out the salesman had been less than honest about the savings I would make .
