jeshen
After 4 days, Golda's suddenly gone into maternal mode rather than incubating mode - lovely to watch. Nora/Nigel is going to be one spoiled chicken!! Rosie

mimi5
Oh how lovely! I have a chick that colour! Glad mum stepped up for her duties!
jeshen
Thanks Mimi. Have you any idea what colour the chick might turn out to be? (3 of the eggs were lemon cuckoo pekins and 1 unknown!) Obviously don't know which one of the 4 hatched! Have moved the 2 of them outside now and the chick is loving exploring his/her new run - he/she seems very feisty! Are yours outside now? mimi5
Well i'm not sure on colour as i bought the eggs & she had a mixed pen! They were to go out today, but unfortunately i'm in hospital, but hoping to get home later on. So maybe tomorrow! My first chicks have been outside for 2 weeks now, loads of feathers! Bet my little ones look huge when i get home!
