A polite reminder to forum members that this button is there for members to alert moderators to a serious breach of forum guidelines, such as advertising, or posts which are unacceptable because they have sexist, racist, abusive or other unacceptable content.

 

It is not to be used to report posts which members perceive to be in the 'wrong' section. The moderators log on regularly and will pick up on any posts which need to be moved into another section.

 

If a post is in the wrong section, it is not 'off topic', and does not need reporting. A thread is only 'off topic' if it veers markedly from the original subject. We take a pretty relaxed approach to threads going 'off topic' and will only act if there has been a serious and deliberate derailment of a thread.
