EGLU HEAT PROBLEMS

[cavs cats n chicks]

Does anyone else have a problem with their chickens pulling the nest box contents through the hole in the next box base?

I have four 10 week old chicks in my cube, have put shredded paper in the nest box because one of them likes to sleep in there, during the day they jump up and pull the paper through the opening and eat it.

Any suggestions please?

A bit of lino, flexible chopping board, rubber car mat or something similar over the hole will keep the bedding in place, just remember to clean under it regularly

I have a piece of plastic cut to size, with bolts through it to keep in place, got the idea off someone on here
