The_eggwards_family
We sadly lost one of our girls today , and whilst Lisa has been no angel, she has turned into a psycho hen today. I went into the enclosure to let them out and she kept attacking me! Rearing up and pecking me, and if I tried to shoo her off she just got even more frenzied towards me. Betty just carried on as if nothing was happening. My DH and DS have been in and she's fine with them! So its just me! For the record, it was DH who went in this morning and attending to poor dying Mabel. Any ideas what's going on and how to put a stop to it? jackian
Was she close to the one you lost? When we lost Florry who was Poppys best mate she was very upset for days, missing her mate. She seemed very confused and she went around sort of crying .. it went on for days. Ain't Nobody Here
Sorry to hear about Mabel . That behaviour does sound unusual . Was Mabel top of the pecking order and Lisa is now attempting to take that spot? I would attempt to show her you're boss (if you can get close without injury ) - pick her up a lot if you can and even carry her about a bit. Perhaps your OH could pick her up then hand her to you?
