The lid should just be able to be pushed forward from the back. The big metal clip things that are on the underside of the lid towards the front should be over the long pieces of metal on the sides. HTH and you can work out what I mean.

yes the clips are inlace its just the one side that can be lifted slightly not sure if I need to do something else, whether it should be like that or if theres a fault, I'm hoping that its just me being simple and its a 5 min alteration job and i can get the girls in for bedtime tonight and then come down in the morning to a smell free house! they are living in the dining room at night in a box! :boohoo:

I can recall making my cube up, and getting the sliding lid right was a little fiddly. A few times, I seemed to get one side right, and the other could pop up.

Making sure it is on a flat area will help you get the runners better lind up, I think. Once it's right... you'll know it's right.

Hi i just wanted to say thank you to the Omlet staff, i have been in contact this morning with omlet to try and fix roof issue, and they have assured me the roof should lift slightly and the side that seemed to fit was in fact to tight x I'm not just waiting for the girls to go in and explore they went straight for the food but instead of going up the ladder walked out and went and sat in the classic! how annoying! thank you anyway for your quick support. (cube orange) only yellow!

hi kerry .after all, :wall: i managed to solve it  with the help of i think was called george at omlet but may be wrong .

basically the mesh needs to be flush at top and is ok overlapping at sides. it takes a lot of pressure better with 2 people to get flush at top. the best way i decided to do it was to leave the large metal side runners loose whilst allowing the lid to side into place . then tighten but make sure the lid runner sits loosely not tight. which is where my problem was i thought the tight fitting side was right and it wasn't it needs to be slightly loose so you can lift the lid up approx an inch. this is ok we have had terential rain since i did it wednesday and it is dry inside apart from the muddy footprints.

hope this helps
