Uma
So the countdown has begun , am finally picking up my ducks next month when they will be 12 weeks old. I am getting a Khaki Champbell and a white pekin type. I am going to keep them in the concrete based front of a stable with an eglu for them to sleep in. They will free range the majority of the time but if we are away they will have to stay in the stable space as we don't let the chickens FR when we are away either, just in case. I'm getting a childs sandpit for water for swimming for them and will have that next to the outside tap for ease. Am I right in thinking that they will need to be on growers till 20 weeks? miller30
Hi i normally switch them onto layers at about 14/16 weeks and depending on breed i have had eggs at 21 weeks it wont make much difference if you wanted to keep them on growers until 20 weeks goodluck with the new ducks leanne
