jenuk99
Hi I have looked after some ducklings for a friend so I could take them into school to show my class and now I am tempted to get some. But I can'y decide whether to go for chickens or ducks. Thanks Jen
gooner.girl
Worst thing - cleaning out the pond. Best things - they're so cute to look at and lovely to watch in the garden or on the pond - particuarly when they are sleepy! The big pull with chickens is eggs, otherwise ducks are better.... *Runs for cover.... Helen x P.S i DO love my chickens - honest! Except when they wake me squarking in the mornings! Lesley
...but then if you have ducks and not drakes, you have eggs as well! Ducks make slightly more noise than drakes - depends on whether your neighbours would mind, and the worst thing is def. cleaning out the pond - daily....... and 5 minutes later it doesn't look as if you've done it
Caroline
OR you get a massively hefty skimmer and filter system (and bankrupt yourself in doing so) so that you only have to clean THAT and not the actual pond! LMAOP or at least hubby does! Best thing.... they're SO funny!! Way more character than the chickens who just revolve around food. Worst thing... duck poop STINKS We only have one duck at the moment (fox) but she gives us an egg a day as a rule and I use them exactly like we do chicken eggs so no worries there.
