debratugwell
Hi - does anyone know the record for the largest hen egg produced? We had a 81g egg recently which looked like an absolute whopper, but maybe this is normal size for some??????????????
theherd123
Well done on the huge egg! Flump lump lays big eggs too and she is such a little chicken. As far as my memory serves me i think Choc-chick has the record for biggest egg and it stands at 139g
The Pearsons
I collected my friends eggs for her yesterday and one is 98 grammes. I was going to make an omlette for lunch but then didn't feel like it. maybe I'll take it to work tomorrow and make something there..... Hotlipz
Never mind large eggs, has anyone had comedy eggs (OK so I'm showing my age here but do you remember the BBC prog Thats LIfe and the comedy fruit and veg?) in the last two weeks I've had a very small egg (Leia) with a dent in the middle and a large egg (Souffle) with like a pointed lump on the end? I wonder what happens to these 'weird' eggs in the supermarket chains? I've never bought a comedy egg from the supermarkets but judging by personal experience they happen so i wonder what happens to them .....after all they taste exactly the same! starboyhull
I cant imagine what that 139g egg looked like (in the flesh), we had one today 83g and it looked much bigger than any I have had from a shop......Almost twice the size of her first one 20 days ago.......
