KateH Posted August 20, 2012 Share Posted August 20, 2012 My young girls absolutely love the dust bath I made them from a washing up bowl. I filled it with kids play sand with diatom sprinkled in. They spend ages in it and perched on the side, HOWEVER, they seem to be eating an awful lot of the sand! I wouldn't usually be too bothered but when I clean out the house in the morning I find poo splats that seem to be almost all sand. I am wondering if this is really bad for them and what I could put in there instead of the sand. Should i try compost? Will they eat that as well?! Has anyone else had this problem?
