I just wanted to check, i have 9 chickens and 3 ducks and just wanted to see how long a bag of layers pellets would last people with about the same amount i have as i seem to be going through food like crazy

Welcome to the forum!

 

Mine eat about 2-3 handfuls of layers mash each daily, so 12 x 2 handfuls = 24+ handfuls, yup, that'll go through a bag of food fairly quickly!

 

I'd say your girls have a normal appetite but you just have lots of girls!

Thanks for that, TBH its mainly the ducks that eat so much but then again they are big lol. Im testing how much i use in bags per week and will update all

Hi they are FR as much as possible they have big coup to sleep in My 6x6 shed and the run area is 14 x 12 with a pond for them as well, when i get home i let them run around in my garden but has to be supervised as i lost my last lot to a fox
