Roselady
Back from our hols and our girls have grown so much I've still not done my signature thingy to show what we have so to refresh we have 4 pekins and 1 araucana hybrid. Their ages range from approx 19wks to 24wks. Can they be introduced to layers pellets yet please? Many thanks
dance in the dark
Yes I think you can pop them on layers now. How old is the hybrid? If it's 24 weeks I expect it would be coming into lay pretty soon. If the pekins are 19 weeks old, it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep them on growers a touch longer, but they would be fine to get onto layers. Basically, finish the growers pellets you have but get some layers pellets and start mixing them in. Tim
Roselady
Hi Tim Thanks v much The hybrid is 24 weeks approx and the pekins range is approx 19-22wks. One of the Lavenders is still very pale and not very developed in her comb and wattles but she puts weight on every week.
