OMG! Needed to spray Hetty as she was losing her tail feathers in a big way, either self plucked or thanks to Lily the bully. Bought the spray, wore gloves, covered my lap with a towel, and sprayed... Soooo disgusting! And the worst part is it blew on to my trousers and t-shirt. I smelled like I had had an encounter with a skunk! Put my stuff straight in washer and hung it out to dry but it still smells! Please please take warning! And if anyone has a suggestion for de-ponging my clothes, much appreciated. On the plus side, Hetty still has tail feathers! Xx

Was this Ukadex, by any chance?

 

There's only one way to avoid stinking like a skunk for hours after using this ... get someone else to do the spraying!

 

It is disgusting, the smell does wash out eventually in my experience - I'd let it air for a bit and then maybe put it through the wash again.

It was Nettex but you mean there maybe a worse one??? Yes think I'll be putting them through the washer again soon. And next time I think its either a hazmat suit or someone else's job! Xx

Sounds like strong stuff! I've been lucky enough not to need to use any so far

They all stink pretty much as each other; that's how they work!

 

Try putting seem white (distilled) vinegar in your final rinse instead of softener.
