But the girl child now wants to buy one for her boyfriend to compliment his laptop at uni. So that he doesn't have to cart about a heavy laptop all the time. But it needs to have some sort of word program on it for his work... Sooooooo is there an andriod app? Do you have to purchase word/office as usual? Any help??? Geoid Posted October 14, 2012 Share Posted October 14, 2012 The tablet should come with it pre-installed, its called ThinkFree Office and is compatible with Microsoft Office. But, is it worth paying all that money for a tablet, when a laptop is usually much better suited for university work, typing notes etc is much easier with a proper physical keyboard and laptops are not that heavy, most of my textbooks weigh more than my laptop!
