Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

We're moving house soon and sadly not able to take our two hens with us

 

Does anyone know how we should go about rehoming them? We're in York.

Why don't you place an add on the Omlet breeds market place? Or maybe try putting up an advert at your local pet shop or somewhere like preloved? http://www.preloved.co.uk/ Hope this helps and your move goes well, so sad that you have to leave your chickens

Dear chixandthecity,

I really feel for you. We are in York but sadly do not have room even for another two (so my OH has just told me rather crossly).

There are a few Yorkshire chicken folk on FB, and they seem to be able to help when people need help rehoming their girls (and sometimes cockerels too). Can I suggest you do a FB search for 'Yokrshire Chicken Community' or 'Raw Green Cottages' or even 'Rainbow Egg Company'. Hopefully someone will be able to help your ladies find a lovely new home.

I posted on FB and a friend mentioned that her neighbour has a few hens and might take ours. Lo and behold, she has happily agreed to have them and we're delivering them to their new home tomorrow! A happy h-ending (sorry)!
