Hi, I'm posting this on behalf of a friend, she hatched these chicks but isn't sure what they are. They are about 14 weeks old (maybe slightly more)

 

 

 

 

any thoughts would be great thanks (BTW the photos have been resized and rotated, photobucket is just taking a while to catch up!).

I think they look like kraienkoppe chickens but am not totally sure.

They come in a few colours but there is a pic of one with the same colouring as your friends.

I was wondering if they were silver duckwing welsummers or silver grey dorkings but these have different body shapes to kraienkoppes and in one pic they look quite upright which makes me think they are. Your friend should know as they get older as dorkings are heavy and quite wide, welsummers have a traditional shape and kraienkoppes can look quite upright as they have game blood in them. Hope this helps

Hi, they look like our kraeinkoppe but a darker colouring so perhaps gold ours is silver laced, they have no comb and are tall with upright tail ours is a good layer but a bit of a madam!

You can get Welsummers that look like that, I think they're Silver Duckwing colouring.
