What are these l brackets for

This will be the first winter that I will have pekin bantams.

I love their little fluffy slippers but, it is these I am worried about most.

The whole of the 3m cube run is covered in plastic over the roof and down one side and 1/2 of their extra outdoor run is covered too, so they have quite a lot of dry areas. Mind you, sometimes if the wind blows the rain in, their patio bit gets wet.

Is there anything else I need to do for them ?

Should I brush their feet before they go to bed or do they clean them themselves?

My pekin is almost 4. She free ranges all day every day with the others. she has never needed any additional looking after even in our vile Scottish winters. Hope yours is just as hardy. Alli x
