putting something to stop draft Cube

Recommended Posts

You might have read my post? I was asking about the extreme cold jacket. Well "Ooops, word censored!"ody rates it on here and it is expensive, so I'll do what I did last year and use a folded flannel in each drawer! Just sort of tuck it in the part to grip, but not so it affects the drawer clipping shut. Just change them when ther'e wet or dirty! :D

Glad I'm not the only one to worry about my chickens being in a draught!!!

Sorry can not edit well on phone and my lap top died. Was going to add that I am not concerned at all about covering some of the gaps as in my opinion there is excessive ventilation in the manufacture anyway far more than most wooden housing .i found a simple way on an eglu is 2old plastic files the stiff closed sort, you just put one side under the back and you get a flexible flap covering but not blocking out air at the back drawer.

Sandyhas3chucks, not quite sure what you mean? But I also found wooden housing always has ventilation above head height (cause heat rises!!) and I didn't like the idea of a draught coming up under the pekins. The Dogmother is very friendly and helpful , maybe you could PM her? Please let me know what you find out!!

I'm also trying to figure out a way to divide up the nestbox as my top chook has been screaming her lungs off this morning as the babies ( so must stop calling them that!!) were having a look at a try!!! (oh poor neighbours!!) Think they may lay soon, but Molly never shares the nestbox and takes her time!!!:lol: Any ideas??? I wish omlet would design/ make something!!! There is even a 3 year old thread on here about it!!!!!
