Charlottechicken
I'm having a major technophobe moment and cannot get my new Orange payg Samsung mini to work. Had it at 2pm today and have spent the last 7 hours trying to figure the bloomin' thing out. I might have done a really stupid thing straight away as for some reason I thought I should use the new sim card that came with the phone, my current payg Orange phone is really old and I thought the sim might not work in the new phone. I've managed to transfer the new sim card online but the phone is showing as no signal, no network connectivity whatsoever. When I transferred sim numbers online it did say it might take up to 72 hours to work, not sure why though. Does anyone have any clue whet might be wrong? Is it possible to get a dud phone which appears normal in every way apart from no signal?? Help!!
Lavenders_Blue
When did you do the number transfer online? When I swapped my mobile number from my old network to my new one it did take around 24 hours and in that time my phone showed no signal when I switched it on. Charlottechicken
Thank you, I'm suspecting it is that. I did it a few hours ago, but just don't understand why it is not instant, everything else seems to be these days! It does say online that it can take up to 72 hours
Lavenders_Blue
Nope, it's definitely not instant. Certainly wasn't when I switched my number anyway!
