I expect we will be offered some poor substitute - I will let OH deal with it as I get cross. I have I think an infected thumb. was attempting to open a tube of superglue with a corn on the cob holder (spikey things you stick in the cobs so you can eat them) and missed and stabbed myself. It is red and sore and suspect I wont get a doctors appointment t now. I hope it will heal itself without antibiotics. That serves me right for using wrong apparatus for things . Alis girls Posted December 31, 2012 Author Share Posted December 31, 2012 Went to Gp's and seen straight away. Got antibiotics for cellulitis. GP said when seeing plaster - "oh knife wound" - usually its from carving turkey - one week on we are removing sutures. He gave me a look when I explained how I did it. Thanks Patsy for your advice- was told by chemist I could even have a small glass of wine. Wasnt bothered as risk of bad infection far outweighs the need for alcohol.
