C&T
Hi people, Our WIR has been in place since end of summer last year, and I can't imagine life without it now. Looking forward to sorting out the garden around it come spring time! But, been thinking about the spring, and mites... Now the Eglu itself is not a problem. Used to cleaning that out thoroughly and had no issues in the past. But not sure how to approach keeping the (wooden) WIR clear of mites. Thinking about the actual wood WIR (i.e. all the joints etc). Does anyone recomend a good product to use - especially as a deterrent? Thanks
Egluntyne
I spray it, when the mood takes me, with Smite, in one of those pumpy-uppy type garden sprays.
C&T
Thanks Egluntine. I'll have a look out for it. With a second child arriving in May, I want to make sure I am on top of the chooks before he arrives and life becomes a bit busy...
Ain't Nobody Here
Must admit I've never treated mine . I always thought they didn't like to live anywhere with daylight so were more likely to take up residence in an eglu.
