It's a rice cooker that you can also do porridge in, and use as a slow cooker, steamer or make cakes in apparently. Has anyone else got one?

I've got an earlier (more basic) version and it gets used several times a week. I never use the porridge setting, though I have tried it, as I find using the microwave quicker. The slow cooker function is great and large capacity. The rice cooker is a total godsend! We only have one rice setting on ours but the rice is really nice, cooked just right, and the keep warm function means I don't have to try and time everything to perfection, wonderful when small children are around making demands on my time and concentration! If it broke I would definitely want to get a new one

Yes, I bought one quite recently. I haven't used all it's functions yet but for rice and steaming it's very good and also fun to use. It's kind of nine in one really because

e you can boil veg while you're steaming. It's a doddle to clean. I'm still experimenting but nothing has gone wrong so far.

I haven't baked cakes or slow-cooked with it yet.

It's easier to keep veg warm when you're serving up too.

Thank you for your replies about the 8 in 1 rice cooker, I am going to treat myself I think as the results of cooking rice on the hob are not always that good.

Oh dear I don't know if you have affected my subconscious, maybe I have seen the title of this, but I have been looking at buying this machine too. Think you have made up my mind.
