Happy Mrs Chicken
I have a and I have just bought a small wooden coop and run just to be used for introductions or poorly hens and was thinking of using a red mite product. What is the best product to use in the coop to prevent them? merlina
I use diatomaceous earth which i buy by the bucketload from ebay - works out very cheap (the bucket lasts well over a year using it liberally) and (touch wood ) haven't had any red mite problems so it would seem to work as well as more expensive variants
The Dogmother
Spray it with Total Mite Kill Concentrate (which leaves a residue which will kill mites) then dust with Buz Busters powder - works every time.
