Snowyhen
Just had this email from my Dad who's at home with the hens (I'm at Uni) Square brackets are my extras 'I had to hose the boys [our two dogs] off this morning, I let the chickens out as I went past and Snowy II ran past me and clambered over the pots under the cover and sat in a pot. I got the boys and when I came back in I thought she had disappeared, but just saw a tail sticking up! When I got their feed in this evening I had a clamber over and look what I found, see attached.' Please look at pic/vid before reading on All this, yet no major reported drop in egg production, nor one of them going nest-box broody- (though Snowy 2 obviously sort-of is, but dad didn't mention that he'd had to get her off to find them). The mystery continues- unless those cockerels are hermaphrodite Confuseled student here 'What shall we do with the silly hen-hens? What shall we do with the silly hen-hens? What shall we do with the silly hen-hens? Who are hiding eggsies

Snowyhen
Daft thing is that she's only semi broody (clearly went to bed fine) I'm also wondering how she sat on all of them, she's not that big Though Dad lay them out in rows for the photo- so they probably fitted better in a heap. Daft hen(s), it must be a conspiracy
Lavenders_Blue
I was wondering how your hen had managed to line the eggs up so neatly! Am impressive stash nonetheless and what a funny place to decide to lay them!
Snowyhen
Yup, right at the back of the pot store, in the top of one of the towers according to dad last night, he's going to wire it off and hope she remembers where the real nestbox is
