jacquie879
Advice please..... One of our chickens has been laying eggs without shells for a few weeks. She appears fine ..eating and drinking not being bullied. I've put extra calcium and oyster shell, as well as usual vitamins and cider vinegar down and are wormed but we keep finding the eggs underneath the perch in the hen house so she isn't even trying to lay them in the right place. Any ideas to what could be causing this??? Thanks
Olly
how old is she? This tends to happen with hens at the beginning/end of the laying period, you can give additives (as you have been) but if she's getting on a bit, it may just indicate that she's running out of steam. chicken bark
Adding some lime flour to her diet may help.

good_egg
Cod liver oil helped with our softies as they need something in it (vit d) to absorb the calcium. Assume she is well otherwise?
