Omadawn
my Indian runners flew on to of there house today, I was quite surprised at how high they flew flom a standing position , I am now a bit paranoid as I am having an area of my garden fenced off so the they can be free range and are at no risk from my dog...... my question is how high do your ducks fly ? and do you clip their wings ???? mollyripkim
Hi My two call ducks had their wings clipped when I first got them last year and the breeder warned me to do it again after their moult as they are quite capable of flying away. Hopefully they are happy and wouldn't do that

Chortle Chook
I'd certainly recommend that you clip one wing on each duck. This shows you . It is not in the least painful to them and having seen a wee duck fly across an exhibition hall from one end to the other, high over all our heads, with no difficulty at all, I''d say that ducks sure can fly
