As I have posted a couple of weeks ago I had real trauma with my lovely little polish frizzle. Her wings were both a bloody mess and I didnt know if it was her pecking herself or one of the others having a go. Since then i have kept putting on the purple spay and have kept her in a dog crate in the run - putting her into the shed each night then bringing her back into the run before the others were let out. Her wings are healing nicely but still have no feathers. As it was so nice I let them all out to FR this morning. They all played nicely together. I thought i would take a chance and let her into the run with the others. within 5 minutes the little lavendar Pekin had pecked her wings and drawn blood. so it was back into the crate with yet more purple spray.

How long should I keep her in there - does it need to be until her wings are feathered again? I didnt think they would peck her now that there were no scabs or blood to see. :(

Oh dear, your poor little frizzle and poor you too.

I guess in a way, it may have been like introducing a lone hen back into the group, even though they have been able to see her.

Would it be better to get her a couple of friends and then introduce the three of them back to the group ?

I'm not sure what advice to offer but I'm sure someone will know what to do.

Thanks. I let them out together today and they all happily Fr'd together. When I put them back in I watched Madge one of my Pekins (one of the older girls) have a few goes at the young Wyandotte which she hasnt done before. Must be the weather! I only saw the little lavender Pekin have a little peck at the Polish Frizzle. I shall just keep persevering!
