Quick question about Julian and his ladies

Recommended Posts

Some will know the story about my beloved cockerel Julian (those that don't bought a girl, that girl turned out to be a boy = mum to the rescue who let Julian live with her)

So Julian is now a year old and growing into a handsome young man and with his maturity he is a VERY loving boy  at mums he has lots of lovely ladies to share his love.

My question is that some of his ladies now have a bare patch on their back, I'm not sure if this is coincidence or due to his loving, he doesn't seem to rough but what would I know I'm not a chicken but he is quick and seems to have a healthy appetite for loving his ladies.

If it him causing it what should we do are there any steps we can take although apart from one of the girls being broody they al seem happy enough.

Mind you I could be wrong I don't want to rule out 1) Moulting or 2) pecking from others

He looks scrumptious (in a non-edible sense) now.

Thank you he is such a gentle boy love him to bits, as for the eating he was the cause of my ED temporary veggie phase as my dad made a joke that they would only have him if they could well you can guess the rest ! As it happens my Dad is just as smitten with him as us, he was really proud when he grew his tail feathers (Julian not Dad that is) and didn't mind Julian waking him up at 4am by coming to the front door and crowing really loudly
