Ok I think I may have mentioned this before I don't know but I am asking again as I can't remember and need advise. One of my girls has a large swelling below her vent.

I have been keeping an eye on it and it does not seem to be giving her any bother, she is laying fine, preening and eating. she is the lowest ranking chock out of three.

I have another run. should I put her into it? it did house ducks and today I cleared it a bit and well I needed a good rest after it was gross beyond I have buried the waste which was quite grim and covered it with better soil, will she be ok in there? If you have any idea as to the bottom thing I will appreciate some feedback :0)

If it is just a bald red behind and she is otherwise well, I wouldn't worry, it's just that she is laying well and putting all her energies into producing eggs rather than feathers. The skin goes an alarming shade of red when exposed. If it is swollen as the previous poster says, a picture would be useful.
