Chicken bald back

In this exceedingly hot weather, a fly must have got into my food recycling bin and when I opened it up today after the bin men had been, a swarm of maggots were writhing in the bottom of it

 

Waste not want not. I thought and promptly fed them to the chickens. They polished them off in an instant, thinking Christmas had arrived early.
