jackian
I had two wooden coups for my 4 girls inside my WIR but a few weeks ago I got red mite in one. After a lot of spraying and cleaning I put a hammer to it . They have been cramming in the very small reserve coup which is only meant for 2. A new recycled coup was ordered which arrived yesterday so how do I get them to use it ?. I don't want to take the small one away at the moment as they have always for some reason laid their eggs in there .so do I close the door after laying and leave them no choice or do I lift them up and put them in their for a couple of nights ?Only one girl Bonnie has shown any interest at all by poking her head in . merlina
I would put them in there after they had gone to sleep so they wake up in their new home It might take a few nights of repeating that before they get the hint!
Luvachicken
When I bought the extra house for Myrtle and Melody, I was quite surprised that at bedtime they went straight up the ladder to the bedroom. The next day they even laid their eggs in there too. They could see their old house but just went straight to their new one. I thought they were clever girls. I'm sure your girls will soon get used to their house if you take the other one away.
