Worried lots of sitting today

Recommended Posts

I am worried about one of my girls, i think she is not too good today, lots of sitting, tail down and not walking quite as fast:(

she laid day before yesterday, and to be honest not sure if she lays daily anyway, she is eating and drinking, and coming over to take treats. Eyes bright, tummy feels fine and poo ok? How worried should I be?

Don't know if this is of any use but one of my older Isa Browns was off colour a few weeks back, putting herself to bed in a New Zealand flax and looking very unhappy, with her beak facing inwards to the corner and standing very forlorn (prior one of the head honchos and prone to bulling with her counter part Isa Brown). Grabbed her late one night which was no easy feat, put her in a basin of warm water and gave her a wee massage underside as thought she had laid a broken egg due to yellow on her bottom. Put her in the utility room for the night in a box wrapped in a towel with straw.

Next morning she jumped out of the box, did a huge No2 on the floor and saw she had laid a normal egg in the box! Was as right as rain ever since so no idea if the bath thing worked but it was worth a shot as she is one of my older bunch?

Probably nothing as they like to scare us! I had an amber hen who was new and like that recently as well, kept herself apart from the others, thought her comb was a bit pale etc. Within a few days realised she was just fine and took her time settling in to a big flock and to find her feet. Kept watch on her for a few days as really thought there was something wrong but no...
