quickcluck
Hi guys.. A quick question for all you pc experts. My Left click button has almost given up the ghost. I can still use the scroll pad and double click on there, but it can take a few attempts! Does this mean it's the beginning of the end? Or can it be fixed? It's about 2-3 years old, and has started to take an age when it's switched on...... Thanks K
Patricia W
can you use an external mouse?
quickcluck
Hmmmm good idea, but it's mostly used on my lap in the lounge...... could try that for a while tho, thanks!
Lydia
The best investment I ever made was a wireless mouse for my laptop. The batteries last for ages if you remember to turn the mouse off when you're not using it.
Patricia W
That's what I've got and I use it on my lap in the lounge - I think it's what you get used to.
cloud
It's also possible to set up the trackpad to accept taps rather than having to press the button, That's what I do as I like it that way. Unfortunately I can't remember exactly where it is in Control Panel you have to set this (and I'm currently using a Mac so can't look). It does take a little getting used to but it would be worth a try perhaps.
kissinuk
What is the exact model make/number? Sounds like its just the button that needs replacing, which is fairly easy to do with most laptops. At least it's not the whole pad thats gone.
quickcluck
Good idea. I have a little place locally that may help with that. Thanks
