gavclojak
Well we have had an amazing summer with my lovely girls and the weather has defiantly turned. We have had non stop rain and the dark evenings are drawing in. My girls were going to bed about 9-30 but now they go off really early and are all in Bed by 7-30:( they used to be up at 6am but one saving grace is they wake at about 7-15 now but.....I miss them:( with all the rain and dull weather I am not able to get out with them as much. Is anyone else feeling the same? Another reason to hate winter!
counturchickens
Absolutely! I just try and squeeze plenty of time in at the weekend. I just got some ex free range girls last week and the bad weather is slowing down the intros as they're in seperate runs tonight due to the heavy rain. Weather forecast says dry for us tomorrow so I will be doing the run & house clean and spending some quality time with them
Chortle Chook
I do miss having them about looking through the patio gate when I was having supper but with all this rain I'm getting lots of hands on with the Polands and Silkies as they all need drying before bed. They line up on their perch and I come along with lots of paper kitchen towel and 'do their hair'. I think they expect it They are, however, brighter than last year about staying mostly under their shelter so I haven't had to use the hair drier yet
gavclojak
I am doing the same counturchickens as soon as there is a break in the rain I am out there like a shot. Usually do the big cube wash on sundays but i think i am gonna have to just fit it in when i can actually get out there! Good on you for getting some rescue girls, I have 5 ex commercial barn girls and am thinking of having a few more rescue girls but they are so happy together I am worried about upsetting the apple cart! Ooo my girls go to bed a tad damp:((( And Hells bells.....they are off to bed now and it's only 7.05pm...boo hoo
