johnandkymberley
Hi all, My uncle is giving us 6 hens, I can't believe it really! He's getting rid of them due to work commitments and a house move. They are coming tonight and I was just going to give them some corn and vegetables for a treat. Although just clearing the kitchen from Sunday dinner and I've got loads of sage and onion left over could I give them some of that? It hasn't been near any chicken or on any plates. It just left over in the baking tin Many thanks in advance xxxx
jacquiefrost
I have only had my girls for about 7 weeks, so not much of an authority on chicken keeping, but i have given mine sage and onion stuffing, and they love it. I don't give them too much though, making sure they have plenty of left over veg.
Olly
If they are settling in to new surroundings I wouldn't give them anything other than pellets/mash. They may need to settle after the journey and if there are any upset tummies you won't know what's caused it.
