Alis girls
Our ginger boy was taken to the vet today. Hes had a place just in front of his ear which hes scratched - scabbed over, scab falls off , scabs over and so on. I know in humans it can be a sign of a basal cell carcinoma - is it the same in cats. We've been given hibiscrub to clean it, metacam and antibiotics. OH said the vet said it looked like an abscess (no pus) but couldnt rule out a cancer. Sorry to ask the vets/ vet nurses but you have given good advice before. Should I be worried? Hes about 11 - not lost wt or appetite. I am thinking like a human nurse.

Alis girls
Thank you Couperwife. OH said he has lost 0.3kg but he was overweight. We had put it down to having a kitten who masquerades as a hoover I made the mistake of googling the subject (something I tell my human pts not to do) and frightened myself t death. Cats with no ears , scabby noses. Will keep you updated.
Alis girls
Sandy is now on steroids as its not healing and vet checked him for fleas. He put him on white paper and shook him and only dirt fell out Hes demanding food with menaces and is moody as the vet warned us. I am now fearing it is cancer as in front of ears a classic place. The vet shave his face so he looks horrendous - hopefully its just eczema but I am worroied.
