SuburbanChick
I read the thread about the Domestic Fowl Trust with interest because I wasn't impressed when I went there a couple of weeks ago and I'm in no particular hurry to go back I was going to go to the Warwickshire Chicken Coop next week but guess it isn't the best time to visit as they've had a recent burglary? Has anyone experience of Newland Poultry in Malvern? Their website is impressive and they sell a nice selection of hybrids. I know I can't buy chickens just yet but there are lots of other things I need Any advice about buying chickens and supplies within striking distance of the West Midlands gratefully accepted! JellyBean2605
I got my chickens (and eglu) from these guys: http://www.staffordshirechickens.co.uk They also sell a modest selection of gear and aren't hard to get too, they are just off the M6 (junction 14 or 15). I was pleased with the service there.

bucklamp
Hi, without wanting this to sound like an advert, they have a great setup at Newland Poultry. They have displays of housing, a good selection of hybrids and some pure breeds and all of the feed/bedding/equipment that you could want. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I would say that it would be well worth a visit.
Dolly
I can thoroughly recommend them - lovely place, people and hens. It's family run so customer service is personal and friendly, our girls stay there when we go away too.
nin-chicken
Another newland poultry fan here! I got my 4 hybrid girls from there in September and was extremely impressed with the set up, choice and lovely friendly customer service. They were very un pushy too and didn't try to sell me loadsif unnecessary stuff. They also offer advice for the lifetime of the birds - I've emailed several times and always get a swift reply. I would certainly buy my chickens there again, they have loads of hybrids, including some quite unusual ones, as well as some interesting pure breeds. I think they get their next batch in march! Have fun!
SuburbanChick
Thank you for your replies I had a good feeling about Newland Poulty and you've all confirmed it! I'll be off there as soon as possible! I hadn't heard of Staffordshire chickens or Cotswold chickens so off to google them now! Getting excited now
paulad
I use Warwickshire Chicken Coop for holiday care - Jenna is lovely and very knowledgeable - they have had a burglary but are still open for business. We tend to get out feed etc locally but her little shop does seem well stocked
