freespiritbutterfly Posted January 26, 2014 Share Posted January 26, 2014 Hi there, One of my chickens seems to be bleeding around her vent area? The vent itself is normal it's not popped out or anything but her 'knickers' have a reddish tinge to them. ( she is white so more noticeable) When cleaning her out this morning there were drops of blood on the roasting bars but the strange thing is that in herself she's absolutely fine? She's still eating and drinking, her crop is red and she's laying well. I don't know what to do? Just wondering if anyone has come across this before? If she is bleeding you will need to separate her as the others will be attracted to the blood and keep pecking her. Do you have any of the purple spray, sorry I can't think of its name?
