Craftfairy Posted March 26, 2014 Share Posted March 26, 2014 We are just getting the area where we want to put our go set up, but I am a bit stuck as to what to put the eglu on, I had read hat if you put it onto slabs then there is less chance of rats and mice living underneath it so this was my plan but I don't know what's best, do you move yours around a bit or keep it in the same place? Ain't Nobody Here Posted March 26, 2014 Share Posted March 26, 2014 I now have a WIR with slabs round the sides but when I had an eglu, I had a path down one side, the eglu sitting on a big slab and some bits and pieces of slab down the other side under the run skirt. Never had a problem with anything trying to dig its way in . I like them having a bit of soil to scratch about in. I kept it in one place and just removed some of the bedding every few months, dug over the soil then put new bedding down with some powdered disinfectant.
