Luxmoore
Hi all - I'm new to chickens and have recently bought a second hand eglu classic and a new extension on the run (giving my 2 light sussex and 2 peckin a 3m run) They are in the run most of the day, only allowed to free range for an hour or so a day as we have lots of foxes... I am considering buying a walk in run (as I hate the crawling into the run/topping up feed etc and I want to give the girls more space) but I am thinking I may want to extend my flock in the future... if I buy a walk in run that fit the eglu classic with run, and then in the future buy a cube, will I be able to attach a new cube and run to the existing walk in run?? Advice welcome... Lizzie
LunaKiw1
I am not sure but the people in the Omlet shop may be able to advise you on options. We started with an Eglu Classic and basic run and then added an Omlet WIR, buying the version to attach to an Eglu run. When we moved house we couldn't fit in the run as well as the WIR but were able to buy an adaptor connection so we could fit the Eglu direct againat the outside of the WIR. Maybe something similar will be available for your context?
redcharlie43
Yes you can connect both to the run. I recently bought a second hand WIC that came with a classic. I already had a cube and run and have asked Omlet the same question. This was their reply. "To connect the Cube with the run to the walk in run, you would only need to take one of the bottom sections off the walk in run off, and butt the Cube run up to it (you don't even need to take the door off the cube run if you didn't want to) and use some of our green run clips to secure it. For the Classic with no run you would need to purchase the walk in run Classic connection kit, but make sure it is for the Classic with no run. You can attach both of your Eglus to the Walk in run at the same time if you wish."

redcharlie43
You won't regret it Luxmoore. My WIC has only been up for 2 weeks and it has made things so much easier. No more stooping or poo on your knees! The other thing is the girls can stretch their wings and flap about and they now have high roosting bars so they don't just have the floor space either.
