Solitary chicken - need advice

Please can any one advise how I can retrofit the door slider so I can close the door on my cube please?

I've just moved it but now I have realised tht while I can now access the egg box and sliders, I cannot close the door!!!

 

The pole comes out and hits the fence

I would email omlet. I very rarely close my door, but obviously you would want to be able to sometimes

Not even in winter? I used to leave the coop door open and just close the run door at night once they had gone to bed, but was worried they would be cold in the night... So I started leaving the run door open and shutting the coop slider door instead...

Praps I'll just use the run door again and hope they snuggle up!!

Not even in winter. There are a few threads about this on here. Lots of us don't shut the door, unless it gets into the minuses. They will be absolutely fine and will enjoy getting up as soon as it's light
