chuckmum6
Well I wasn't going to hatch this year, but somehow I now have Cream Legbar eggs and Brown/black wyandotte bantam eggs coming on Wednesday, for Daisy my ever broody hen! I also have two new flock members who I collected last week, a buff laced wyandotte bantam called May and a lemon cuckoo Orpington bantam named Sorbet!!!! mollyripkim
You have a nice collection of girls, would love to see a photo of the lemon cuckoo orp.
chuckmum6
Will try and post one of the newbies tomorrow! They have a very low profile at the moment, as they are being stalked by enraged Pekins, who are far from pleased by their arrival.

Minty_76
Yes the lemon cuckoo orp sounds interesting. Looking forward to seeing a pic of her! Can I ask, what happens if you hatch boys? Its something I would love to do but probably would be too scared to have a go!

Yes, I know that feeling Having been persuaded by OH that we should hatch again this year, what started out as 1 set of Cream Legbar eggs turned into a clutch of Crested Cream Legbar, Cuckoo Marans, Pekin and Poland chicks, being brooded by three different hens . I am afraid the boys are culled, I have rehomed some (and will try that first), I have kept one until OH moaned so much that I rehomed him (the cockerel that is, should have kept the bird and re homed the husband !!!!), we also kept one for our Christmas dinner. Not a good idea to be a boy chick really .
