Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Both Helga and Olive are broody again

So OH always closes cube door mid afternoon after the others have laid.

He has just phoned to say, he is on his way to Canterbury to play golf so has locked the cube door and all girls are in the run...but only had one egg !!!!

So by the time I get home tonight around 6pm will have some very angry ladies or a rush for nest box.

Didnt like to tell him off as he was trying to help.

Silly man.

My poor girl shadow is broody and we are 6 weeks in and just as I think she is improving she takes a step back. I have to make sure all mine have laid before I let her loose with the others ... Has a chicken ever stayed broody for ever ?
