Lindy Loo
Well, I feel really silly- I cleaned my hen house today and afterwards my broody hen who is sitting on 6 eggs moved eglu's and when my son found the eggs they were still warm but much reduced in temperature. I don't know how long the eggs were unattended but I would imagine for up to an hour and a half. My son popped the eggs underneath her again and she is sitting on them quite happily but is it likely to be too late? She has been sitting on the eggs for 10 days now - I don't know whether the timing makes any difference or not. In any event I will leave her sitting on them for another 12-14 days but is there any hope at all???
feemcg
I think if they still felt warm at all they'll be fine. I've read about hens being off the nest for several hours, power-cuts etc. and some professional breeders cool their eggs every day for a better hatch rate. Good luck
bronze
I would think they would be ok too.

Coastie
Good luck but they'll be fine. We had some eggs in an incubator. We also had two power cuts which lasted about 2 hours each time. Fingers crossed, Coastie.
