patsylabrador Posted July 3, 2014 Share Posted July 3, 2014 As the holiday season is coming up and people might be travelling into Europe I feel I must recommend Montreuil sur Mer. It is the most lovely town, roughly 1 1/2 hours from Calais. Less if you go by motorway. I made a flipagram of some of the pictures I took. It is very relaxed, has a very interesting history and perfect for the ports and for heading further in. I really felt like I was in France which you don't get in the port towns. We just walked and walked, you can actually walk all the way round on beautifully maintained ramparts. Plus, lots of places to have a beer.
