MaryHen
Hi All Need some advice - This is only rearly the 3rd night of the girls putting themselves to bed but Grizelda who is top of the pecking order has taken to going into the cube first and sitting inside right in the doorway. Last night Doris, bottom of hte pecking order tried to get into the cube only to have GRiz peck her. In the end I ended up going to the back of the cube and distracting her so Doris could get in. The other chuck Amber, doesnt give a stuff and jusr barged past her - good girl!! Part of me things I should just leave them to it and eventually it will sort itself but I dont want the other girls sleeping outside in the run. At the moment Griz is in the cube with the others on the ladder - Amber is facing up to her!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Chickabee
With the cube I used to slide the lid forward and move the bully to the back. It does all sort itself out eventually though
gavclojak
One of my poor girls had to run the gauntlet a few times, betty would sit as described and stand guard at the cube door but it does usually sort itself out. I think its more stressful for those watching..
MaryHen
Thanks for the advice.... Well last night Grizelda sat at the door and poor Doris kept getting on the ladder then chickening (pardon the pun) out of getting past Griz...in the end bless her she did and as she went past Griz nipped her...naughty Amber on the other hand kept Griz waiting, got on the ladder and faced Griz out..beaks at dawn... then scrabbled over Griz to get her spot...I was so relieved when they were all in!! As you say, I think its worse for us watching!! Its my first day away from them today... I managed to work from home yesterday... and I'm missing them loads..
